This could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a piece of American car history!
Pre-WWII cars are often very difficult to find, but this one is especially so.
The 1942 Lincoln Zephyr Sedan was part of a very limited production right before the United States entered World
War II, causing all domestic car production to halt in support of the war effort. As such, this model year is
nearly impossible to find.
This car has been in our family since 1975 when it was purchased from an estate sale in Northern California.
Unfortunately, after the passing of both of my grandparents, it is time for us to sell it.
It was featured in the Complete Ford Book, 4th Edition (1976) - pages 104 - 106, and has also been in other
magazines including "Old Cars Illustrated" 1979 (page 19) and "Motor Klassik" ( a German car magazine) in 1999.
It regularly won trophies at car shows and appeared in regional car club publications for quite some time.
It is mostly original parts, though the interior was refinished in 1985, and as you can see in the photos, in very
good condition.
With a trivial amount of cleaning and polishing it could be winning awards in car shows again!
The odometer says 68, 809, but it is unknown if it ever rolled over 100k.
